Nostalgia Starburst Blanket Pattern x Millenial Collection by The Frosted Stitch
I have never had a harder time naming something in all my life. In the history of naming things, this one takes the cake. Speaking of cake… everything from Confetti, to Funfetti, to Sprinkles and Dreams were floated. None of it felt right (and also had been already in use by thousands of other patterns). I thought Friendship, Y2K, Millennial, Cottage, Camp and Vintage Starburst blankets would all work… alas, no.
In the end, I went with my heart. I present to you the Nostalgia Starburst Blanket Pattern. Because, it’s nostalgic for me. As an 80’s millennial, this blanket reminds me of my entire childhood. Think camp, friendship bracelets (attached to your jeans with a safety pin, of course), making beaded flower bracelets at the cottage, scrunchies, butterfly hair clips, those Lip Smacker chap sticks…the list goes on and on. The joining colour on this blanket was WILD and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have my doubts. But as I joined row after row, a warmth grew. It was JUST-SO-FUN!! Completely nostalgic, and the sweetest little dopamine hit.
I hope you love it!!!

Island Time Blanket Pattern x Sunkissed Collection by Hue Loco
It’s bright, it’s colorful, it’s made with dreamy yarn….
When I opened up the Sunkissed Collection from Hue Loco Yarn, it was just begging to make it into another Island Time Blanket Pattern. I love the warm, summery tones of this collection. It’s the exact pick-me-up needed after a long winter. In a departure from my normal style, I went full girl mode on this blanket. I completed the border with a ruffled, frilly edge. Just try and tell me it isn’t the cutest thing you’ve laid eyes on all year! *Squeals*
I hope you love it!!!

Island Time Shawl Pattern (Fingering/Sock Weight Version)
Hi everyone! I’m just over here checking all the things off the list! Since forever you’ve been asking for the “half” sunburst tutorial or the Triangle Sunburst. I’ve wanted to create a simple sunburst shawl for some time—and since the Island Time Blanket pattern is a current favourite it seemed like the perfect time to make the sister pattern….

Island Time Baby Blanket Pattern
It’s bright, it’s colourful, it’s made with dreamy yarn…
Just like the original Island Time Blanket Pattern, but baby sized. I used Comfy Worsted from WeCrochet to work up this baby blanket pattern and absolutely love it. It’s a cotton/acrylic blend that is oh-so soft and easy to care for. Happy crocheting!!

Island Time Scarf -Free Crochet Pattern
When I started thinking about making another Island Time Shawl….I knew I wanted it to be a bit smaller (and more wearable with a heavy winter coat), solid coloured and well….I quickly realized I didn’t want a shawl. What I wanted, was a scarf! Hence, the last free pattern of the year: The Island Time Scarf Pattern. It’s wide enough for full coverage, long enough to wrap twice, and finished off with the sweetest triangular bottom and pom. It’s all about the details :) I chose to make mine monochrome—but the colour options are endless. It’s definitely a pattern I’ll be coming back to again and again.
So, grab your favourite DK weight yarn and lets get started!!

Island Time Blanket Pattern x Scenic Route Collection by Hue Loco
It’s bright, it’s colorful, it’s made with dreamy yarn….
When I opened up the Scenic Route Collection from Hue Loco I knew I wanted to make it into another Island Time Blanket Pattern. I just love the cool tones of this collection-it’s quite the departure from their usual style and I’m here for it! This collection screams “made for Mallory” because I absolutely love every colour in it. Blues and Greens are my favourite and I couldn’t be happier with the way this blanket turned out :)
For the border on this one—I wanted to keep the attention and focus on the beautiful colours of the motifs with this yarn—so I went with a really straight forward and classic single crochet border with picot edging. It cleans up the border beautifully while still remaining delicate and delightful. I hope you love it.
